Saturday Workshops with Hazel
A workshop is a great way to deepen your enjoyment of yoga. The day offers the time to experiment and hone techniques that a weekly class just does not allow for. Many students describe the workshops as a rare treat, giving themselves some 'me - time'. The groups are small and held in quiet locations with green space around.
Wear usual comfortable stretch friendly clothing but maybe easy layers to allow for the changing tempo of the class. Please bring your mat, blanket/towel and cushion and an open mind! You are advised to eat (ideally two hours before class) a small breakfast and bring a light lunch to share.

Hazel has facilitated Stress Management Workshops for staff training for some of the health care related businesses in Oxford. A workshop can be customized for your working environment. The training can cover aspects such as Techniques in calming yourself and dealing with difficult confrontations; assertive attitude for the work place; posture awareness and simple yoga exercises for the office; and or Relaxation Techniques. If your company would like to offer staff an In-house training day on Stress Management or customised workshop please give Hazel a call.
Special Groups
A big thank you to Oxford Council’s Adult and Continuing Education Team who helped fund opportunities to teach with people who would not necessarily get the chance to be introduced to Yoga. The varied groups, with very different requirements, linked with specific centres, a Medium Security Unit and a wonderful group at the Enablement Centre, and a series of ‘taster events’, eg. refugees group and yoga for the whole family to join in, taken to disadvantaged areas in and around Oxford.
If you work with a special group of people who could gain from yoga please get in touch to find out more.
The last three summers I have also taught as part of English Language Summer Schools. I tried to learn ‘flexibility’ and ‘calm’ in 7 languages and the students seemed to enjoy a new lesson experience.
Teaching in sunshine by the pool in Lanzerote April 2008
YOGA AWAY FROM IT ALL
My recent couple of weeks teaching in Lanzerote in April 2008 were a pleasure to teach and share yoga in the sun; The two mixed ability groups came out for relaxing and pampering as well as deepening their yoga pracitse. Next yoga holidays will be somewhere a little less windy but somewhere warm for a week break, as well as long weekends planned in centre of rural North Ireland and city break in Salisbury. Please contact me if you would like details and I will email you as soon as venues and dates are confirmed.
If you have a group of friends who would like to have a weekend of yoga away or interested in joining one set by us, please contact Hazel.
